MDA
The abbreviation MDA stands for Mobile Data Acquisition or Mobile Data Terminal.
This refers to the principle or the respective device necessary to be able to record data away from a computer workstation. The MDA can record this data and often also display it. This can be done, for example, as when shopping using a barcode scanner or reading an RFID chip.
Mobile data capture saves walking distances, prevents duplicate data capture, avoids transmission errors and generally achieves greater efficiency. This greatly simplifies dynamic warehousing and the rapid recording of goods storage and retrieval. Depending on the location, there are a large number of possible end devices that can be specially adapted, for example for use in refrigerated warehouses.
